What started as a simple design idea turned into something much bigger than I ever expected. The original “Namaste Cleveland” shirt was created as a love letter to the local yoga community, blending city pride with wellness culture in a fun, wearable way.
Almost immediately, it took off.
The Cleveland yoga community showed up in a big way. Studios, instructors, and yogis across the city started sharing the design, wearing it to classes, and asking how they could get their own versions. It wasn’t just about the shirt. It was about representing where you practice, teach, and build community. That’s when the messages started coming in.
Local yoga studios began reaching out to create custom versions for their own cities. What began in Ohio quickly expanded into other states, including Illinois. Seeing new city names come to life using the original design concept was incredibly rewarding. Each version kept the same core idea while allowing each community to make it their own. Different cities, same energy, same message.
This project wasn’t just about printing apparel. It was about connection. Watching people support the original concept, adapt it for their own communities, and proudly wear it in studios across multiple states was a reminder of how powerful simple, thoughtful design can be. It also showed how local-focused branding can create real emotional engagement. When people see their city on a shirt tied to something they love, it becomes personal.
The success of “Namaste Cleveland” opened the door for even more custom city-based designs and collaborations with yoga studios and wellness brands. It’s exciting to think about where the concept will go next and how many more communities it can reach.
If you’re a studio or wellness brand looking to create custom apparel that speaks directly to your community, I’d love to help you bring that idea to life.
